REAP TFWS Scheme 2026

The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) under REAP 2026 is a special initiative approved by AICTE to support economically weaker students pursuing B.E/B.Tech courses in Rajasthan. Under this scheme, up to 5% supernumerary seats (seats over and above the sanctioned intake) are reserved in all AICTE-approved technical institutions. If a candidate secures a seat under the TFWS category, their entire tuition fee is completely waived off for the full duration of the degree. However, students are still required to pay other nominal charges such as development fees, university affiliation fees, and hostel charges.

To successfully claim the TFWS benefit, the income certificate must strictly follow these rules:

• The certificate must state that the annual gross income of the parents/guardians from all sources is below ₹8 Lakhs.
• It should be issued by a competent authority (e.g., Tehsildar, SDM, or equivalent state government official).
• The income certificate must be valid for the current financial year (issued on or after April 1, 2026).
• Candidates failing to produce the valid income certificate during physical reporting will have their TFWS seat cancelled and converted to a normal seat.

Who can apply for TFWS?

• Domicile: Only candidates who are bona fide residents of Rajasthan are eligible. Candidates from other states (Out of Rajasthan) cannot apply for TFWS.
• Income Limit: The annual income of parents (Father and Mother combined) from all sources must be less than ₹8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs only).
• Academic Criteria: The candidate must fulfill the basic academic eligibility for REAP 2026 (Passed 12th standard with required subjects and minimum percentage).
• Document Proof: Must possess a valid Income Certificate and Domicile Certificate at the time of document verification.

Students do not need to fill out a separate form for TFWS. It is integrated into the regular REAP counseling process:

• Step 1: During the REAP 2026 online registration, tick "YES" for the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) option.
• Step 2: Upload your valid Income Certificate and Rajasthan Domicile Certificate along with other required documents.
• Step 3: During the Choice Filling phase, you will see separate choices for TFWS seats (e.g., "Computer Science - TFWS").
• Step 4: Add the TFWS branch options above the normal branch options in your preference list.
• Step 5: If your merit is high enough, a TFWS seat will be allotted; otherwise, a normal seat will be considered based on your subsequent choices.

Make sure you have the following documents ready to verify your TFWS claim during institute reporting:

• Valid Income Certificate (Issued by Tehsildar/SDM).
• Rajasthan Domicile Certificate (Mool Niwas).
• Aadhaar Card or valid Photo ID proof.
• 10th and 12th Class Marksheets and Certificates.
• JEE Main 2026 Score Card (if applicable).
• Medical Fitness Certificate.
• REAP Allotment Letter (showing TFWS allotment).

The allotment of TFWS seats follows strict merit guidelines within the REAP counseling process:

Allotment Process

• Merit Based: TFWS seats are highly competitive and are allotted strictly based on the combined merit list (JEE Main / 12th Board marks).
• Cutoff Differences: Because only 5% of seats are reserved for TFWS, the cutoff for a TFWS seat in a specific college/branch is generally higher than the normal seat cutoff.
• Supernumerary Nature: These seats do not eat into the general quota. If a college has an intake of 100 in CSE, 5 extra seats are created specifically for TFWS.
• No Branch Change: Students admitted under the TFWS scheme are usually NOT permitted to change their branch in the 2nd year.
