RTU Kota

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is a premier state university located in Kota, Rajasthan. Established in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan, RTU is committed to advancing technical education, research, and innovation. The university affiliates approximately 129 engineering, management, and computer application colleges across the state. RTU offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, fostering a vibrant academic environment for students to excel.

For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech/B.Arch)

• Applicants must have completed 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required (40% for reserved category candidates).
• A valid score in JEE (Main) for B.Tech or NATA for B.Arch is necessary for admission through counseling.

For Postgraduate Courses (M.Tech/MBA)

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required (45% for reserved categories).
• A valid score in GATE for M.Tech or CMAT for MBA may be required for certain specializations.

Admissions to various courses at RTU are conducted through centralized counseling processes like REAP, or based on national-level entrance exams. The general process is as follows:

• Step 1: Entrance Exam: Appear for the required entrance exam (e.g., JEE Main, NATA, GATE, CMAT) based on the course you are applying for.
• Step 2: Counseling Registration: Register for the respective state or national level counseling process (like REAP for B.Tech).
• Step 3: Application Form: Fill out the application form with accurate personal, academic, and contact details.
• Step 4: Choice Filling & Locking: Select your preferred affiliated colleges and courses and lock your choices before the deadline.
• Step 5: Seat Allotment: Check the seat allotment result declared by the counseling authority.
• Step 6: Reporting to College: Report to the allotted institute with all original documents for verification and complete the admission formalities.

Candidates must produce the following original documents along with self-attested copies at the time of reporting to the allotted institute:

• Aadhaar Card or valid Photo ID proof.
• 10th Class Marksheet and Certificate (Date of Birth Proof).
• 12th Class Marksheet and Certificate.
• Relevant Entrance Exam Score Card (JEE Main, NATA, GATE, etc.).
• Domicile Certificate (if applicable).
• Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS) issued by competent authority.
• Income Certificate (for TFWS candidates).
• Medical Fitness Certificate.

For B.Tech Courses

Admission is primarily based on merit in the following order of priority:

• Priority 1: Rank obtained in JEE (Main) 2026.
• Priority 2: Percentile obtained in the 12th-grade examination.
• Priority 3 (For Lateral Entry): Marks obtained in Diploma in Engineering & Technology.

For B.Arch Courses

Admission is based on a merit list prepared with equal weightage (50% each) to:

• Marks obtained in the 12th-grade examination.
• A valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
