REAP 2026 Reservation Policy

As per the Government of Rajasthan norms, seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Rajasthan Domicile in the following categories. Candidates must produce a valid category certificate during reporting.

Horizontal reservation cuts across the vertical reservation categories. This means these seats are adjusted within the respective category (General, SC, ST, etc.) of the candidate.

1. Women Candidates

• 25% Reservation: 25% of seats in each category (General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) are reserved for women candidates.
• Conversion: If women candidates are not available, these seats are converted to male candidates of the same category.

2. Persons with Disability (PwD)

• 5% Reservation: Reserved for candidates with at least 40% disability.
• Certificate: A valid disability certificate from a competent medical authority is mandatory.

3. Defence Personnel (Ex-S)

• Priority is given to wards of defence personnel killed in action, disabled in action, or ex-servicemen.
• Requires a certificate from the Zila Sainik Welfare Board.

Apart from standard reservations, REAP includes provisions for specific regions and schemes.

Tribal Sub Plan (TSP)

• 45% ST Reservation: In colleges located in TSP areas (like Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh), 45% of seats are reserved for ST candidates of the TSP area.
• Domicile: Candidates must produce a special bona-fide resident certificate of the TSP area.

Supernumerary Seats

• TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme): 5% extra seats in private colleges for candidates with family income less than ₹8 Lakhs/annum. Tuition fee is waived.
• Kashmiri Migrants (KM): 5% seats reserved for migrants from J&K.
• PMSS: Scholarship scheme for J&K and Ladakh students (Admissions usually via AICTE portal).
